Ticks and your fur baby

We always recommend you talk to your vet. Ticks are something no pet parent wants to see. They can be difficult to remove, carry disease and can even cause infection. It's important that you use a tick preventative on your fur babies to help keep them safe, however, even the best preventative can sometimes still lead to a tick bite.

It's important to remove the tick as soon as you've noticed it. We are trained here at Candelore's Barking Beauties to do just that for you! Please bring your pet to us, and we will take care of it for you. Try to check your pet daily for any signs of ticks so that you can prevent the transmission of Lyme Disease.

Symptoms of Lyme disease include fever, loss of appetite, reduced energy, and swelling of joints. If your pet displays any of these signs, seek veterinary help as soon as possible.
